Your comments...Erin's Story
Our daughter Erin has very dry skin and associated eczema which started causing us a real problem when she was just 3 months old. Her incessant scratching on her face, arms and legs was getting serious and the sight of blood on the cot sheets almost every morning was a constant dread. This on top of the disapproving looks from people we met led me to take some very drastic action. This included stitching socks to the end of the arms of all her clothing and effectively putting her into a straight jacket style sleeping bag each night with the arms buttoned down to the actual bag, so that she could not scratch. Cutting Erin’s nails 2/3 times a week was not helping and double rinsing all our washing and not using fabric conditioners was also the norm, and will strike a chord with any parents that have children with eczema. This was not what we wanted but it was the only means of preventing the scratching. read more
Hi, my scratchsleeves arrived safely and are in full use. They are fantastic and my health visitor was also impressed and has taken your details to recommend to other sufferers. So maybe some more business! Many thanks
... I also would like to thank you for this wonderful product, it's been a definate godsend, I have been struggling with my daughters ezcema since she had it at 3 months old. And since I have bought this product its really helped with the scratching especially during the night. I have definately recommended it to all my friends and my GP is also impressed and will be recommending it to any babies suffering with ezcema ...
Hello there I just wanted to give feedback on the scratch sleeves to say they've made a real difference to my 10-month-old son's quality of life. For the first time since he was a few weeks old, he can now sleep unswaddled as we know he can't cut his face in the night. Before we found your site, we'd asked our doctor if she knew of any products designed to prevent scratching, and she had no idea. I also think the health care professionals only think about treating the itchy symptoms with a plethora of oils, emollients, creams and potions, when in fact removing the itch is more than half the battle. I would be very happy to pass on any promotional material you have to every health visitor, nurse, doctor and paediatric dermatologist (not to mention parents in the same boat) who've been involved in our son's treatment who don't know about your product. Best wishes, and many thanks
